40 Colori is designed at a third generation workshop in Como, Italy. Their certified cashmere yarn is spun in Italy by Cariaggi, one of the most widely renowned cashmere producers with the highest standards in the industry for quality, sustainability and transparency. The yarn is ethically produced using only renewable energy and is 100% traceable to the source. Plus, they're pro-recyclers - Carriagi cleans and reuses their waste water after dyeing and all leftover fiber waste is made in to new yarn. While making their yarn, they only use fibers that are 6-10mm longer than the average producer. Longer fibers = less pilling = extra beanies that only get softer with time.
These beanies are produced for 40 Colori at Maglificio Maurizio, a small workshop in Northern Italy. Relying on his forty-plus years of experience and his passion for knitwear, Maurizio single-handedly manages the entire manufacturing process.
